In Throat, Andréa Spartà presents a small, concentrated installation bringing together the floor work Fleurs / fleurs and a new wall-based intervention in the form of a perpetual calendar.Fleurs / fleurs consists of shop signs spelling the word “fleurs.” Removed from their original context, the signs act as carriers of shared memory. Flowers mark many moments in life — love, celebration, apology, illness, mourning — and here these associations re- main deliberately open. The work does not depict flowers, but the idea of them, held in the language of commerce and repetition. The second work features a perpetual calendar designed to function for any year. It ex- poses time as a simple, administrative structure, dividing days and months with factual clarity. From above, a spray of silver curling ribbon spills from the wall. Festive and reflective, It introduces a contrasting sense of excess, decoration, and gentle absurdity. Both works rely on ambiguity and restraint. They do not offer fixed meanings but allow viewers to project their own experiences. Joy and melancholy, order and disruption, presence and absence exist side by side. The exhibition title Throat refers to a point of passage — between inside and outside, silence and speech. Like the works themselves, it suggests something held back, leaving space for reflection rather than declaration.
